Hobbledown is delighted to announce The Brain Tumour Charity as its new chosen charity.

The organisation is dedicated to funding research, raising awareness of brain tumours, reducing diagnosis times and providing support and information for people with a brain tumour, their families and friends.

Hobbledown joint owner Richard Farley said: “Every day 31 people in the UK are diagnosed with a brain tumour. Yet survival rates have barely improved in over 40 years compared with other cancers, investment in research is low and diagnosis is still taking far too long.

“This has to change, and this is why we have decided to support The Brain Tumour Charity here at Hobbledown, and our sister site Kidspace Adventures in Croydon and Romford, to raise awareness of its fantastic work, as well as help raise vital funds.”

So far The Brain Tumour Charity has committed £41m to pioneering research, reduced the average childhood diagnoses time from 14.4 to 6.5 weeks through its HeadSmart campaign, and supported more than 25,000 people supported through its support and information service.

To support the charity Hobbledown will be hosting fundraising events, family days and collections throughout the year.
